The McIntosh C22 has always been a coveted classic among audiophiles. Whether it's the original version from 1963 or the subsequent reissues launched in 1995, each time it hits the market, it triggers a buying frenzy. Its sound is transparent and precise, and over the years, it has become the standard equipment for audiophiles to evaluate the sound of audio systems. Even the earliest second-hand models are still selling for over 35,000 yuan.

If one merely glances at the circuit diagram, many would assume it to be the circuit of the MARANTZ 7. However, these two circuits actually have numerous differences. The design of the McIntosh C22 is more rigorous and refined. In its era, it was considered avant-garde, employing what were then novel technologies. It was among the first to utilize electromagnetic relays for signal switching and incorporated various circuit improvement techniques. Consequently, the sound produced by the C22 is more accurate.
We have referred to its core amplification circuit part, and after repeated sound comparison tests with the original unit, we have made continuous revisions to the overall wiring, layout, and materials used, resulting in this pre-amplifier for audiophiles to enjoy. (This unit does not include a phono pre-amplifier.)
