Complete ADS8688A application solution module
The module only requires a single power supply (2.7-5.5Vdc), excellent power performance, and a typical operating current of 33mA at 3.3V.
The maximum output data volume is 500Ksps/16Bit.
Featuring 8-channel input and 1-channel AUX (direct ADC input), each channel can be individually configured with input range and polarity, supporting input ranges of ± 0.64V, ± 1.28V, ± 2.56V, ± 5.12V, ± 10.24V,+5.12V, and+10.24V.
Internal or external reference sources can be configured through resistor jumpers.
Provide a demonstration program.

Question: The difference between ADS8688 and ADS8688A
Answer: ADS8688A has two more levels of PGA gain than ADS8688, which are ± 0.15625 * VREF and ± 0.3125 * VREF, respectively.
Question: Does each channel have an independent 500ksps data update rate?
Answer: ADS8688A only has one SAR ADC with 500ksps, so the total data update rate of the 8 channels is 500ksps. ADS8688A has an automatic scan conversion mode, which can automatically switch channels and convert when converting multiple channels.
Question: How to choose between ADS8688A and AD7606:
Answer: The ADS8688A allows for asynchronous conversion by switching 8 channels through a MUX, but each channel of the ADS8688A has a PGA, which allows for flexible configuration of input range and polarity. For detailed differences, please refer to the corresponding specification sheet.
